Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of Color Papers' marketplace management services, technology platforms, and any integrations with third-party APIs including the Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API). By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy.
1. Permitted Use
Our services and API integrations may only be used for the following authorized purposes:
- Managing marketplace seller accounts (order management, inventory synchronization, repricing)
- Fulfilling customer orders placed through authorized marketplaces
- Generating GST-compliant tax invoices for marketplace orders as required by Indian tax regulations
- Calculating applicable sales taxes (CGST, SGST, IGST) and facilitating tax remittance
- Generating tax compliance reports including GSTR filing support and TCS reconciliation
- Generating sales analytics and business reports for the authorized seller account
- Customer service and communication related to order fulfillment
- Import/export logistics and supply chain management
2. Prohibited Use
The following activities are strictly prohibited when using our services:
- Data Misuse: Selling, renting, leasing, or sharing marketplace customer data (including PII) with unauthorized third parties
- Unauthorized Marketing: Using customer PII obtained through marketplace APIs for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes without explicit consent
- Data Harvesting: Scraping, crawling, or collecting data beyond what is authorized through official API access
- Competitive Intelligence: Using marketplace data to gain unfair competitive advantages against other sellers or to manipulate marketplace rankings
- Circumventing Controls: Attempting to bypass API rate limits, throttling mechanisms, or access controls
- Unauthorized Access: Accessing data or accounts without proper authorization or beyond the scope of granted permissions
- Policy Violations: Using our services in any way that violates Amazon's Marketplace Developer Agreement, Selling Partner API Terms of Use, or any other applicable marketplace policies
- Illegal Activities: Using our services for any purpose that violates applicable local, national, or international laws
- Data Retention Violations: Retaining marketplace customer PII beyond the period necessary for order fulfillment, or failing to delete data when requested
3. Amazon SP-API Specific Requirements
When our services involve Amazon SP-API data, the following additional requirements apply:
- Amazon data is accessed and used solely for the purposes described in our developer application and authorized by Amazon, including order management, tax invoicing, and tax remittance
- Customer PII received through SP-API is used exclusively for order fulfillment, tax invoice generation, and customer service
- All API usage respects Amazon's throttling limits and rate restrictions
- SP-API credentials and tokens are kept secure and never shared with unauthorized parties
- Any changes to how Amazon data is used require updated authorization from Amazon
- We comply with Amazon's Data Protection Policy (DPP) at all times
4. User Responsibilities
If you use our marketplace management tools as a seller, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials and not sharing them with unauthorized individuals
- Ensuring your use of our services complies with the marketplace's seller policies and terms of service
- Promptly reporting any suspected security breaches or unauthorized access to your account
- Providing accurate and truthful information in all business dealings conducted through our platform
- Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and marketplace policies in your jurisdiction
5. API Usage Guidelines
- API calls are made only as necessary to provide the requested services — no excessive or unnecessary calls
- Bulk data operations are performed during off-peak hours where possible to minimize impact
- Error handling and retry logic respects API rate limits with appropriate backoff mechanisms
- API access tokens are refreshed according to the marketplace's recommended practices
6. Monitoring & Enforcement
Color Papers reserves the right to:
- Monitor the use of our services to ensure compliance with this policy
- Investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action
- Suspend or terminate access to our services for users who violate this policy
- Report violations to the relevant marketplace (e.g., Amazon) and/or law enforcement authorities where required
- Delete data that has been obtained or retained in violation of this policy
7. Data Handling Standards
All data processed through our services is subject to the following standards:
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
- Access is granted on a need-to-know basis with role-based controls
- PII is never stored in logs or exposed in error messages
- Data retention follows the schedules outlined in our Privacy Policy

8. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it immediately to:
